We’ve recently had the pleasure to work with one of the country’s up-and-coming international airports, London Southend Airport. Our commission was to provide exciting and stylish furniture for the new terminal’s Lakers Bar – the uber-hip bar and chill out area perched at the top of the departure lounge stairs.
Extensive meetings with The Stobart Group – the airport’s proud owners – allowed us to understand the requirements in the finest detail. To this end, a range of sophisticated bar stools were required, but there was also the desire to give the area a new vibrancy. JB Commercial designed and built six crescent shaped low benches for the task, furnished in a resplendent fabric chosen by the client and completed with a futuristic gun metal finish. The whole bar was then dappled with a splash of colour from a cornucopia of side-chairs and Ottomans that completed this luscious transformation.
Our experienced team of fitters were on site to install this range with minimum disturbance to the international hub and leave the area ready for clients to use shortly afterwards. To be involved in such a prestigious project is something we are very proud of at Jb Commercial and further extended our impressive portfolio.
