This prestigious college, celebrating their centenary, asked JB Commercial to provide furniture for a breakout area and we were delighted to assist. As a crucible of education and training in traditional professions, Plumpton College required a mix of classic and contemporary, realised in a mixture of soft seating, dining chairs, bar stools and tables.
The first significant piece of the project was the prestigious Cosmopolitan Royale fluted bench seating, produced with a gorgeous oak panelling that contrasted with the Slate colour commercial standard faux leather. The look continued with the stylish Zeni armchairs and bar stools which once again combined a soft. Comfortable yet robust faux leather with a beautiful polished wooden, grain-emphasised veneer backrest, the Zeni armchairs and bar stools were an eye-catching element of the break-out area.
The use of the Cosmopolitan and Zeni ranges, bench seating, side chairs and bar stools, gave the venue choices for formal and informal association. Fine seating requires tables to match and the Valor and Herald ranges completed the project perfectly. The Valor has a white TuffTop that is sturdy yet attractive, affixed to a cast iron base, and provided a solid contrast to the seating.
Meanwhile the Herald rectangle table was used for the Zeni dining chairs, another compliment between styles that worked perfectly for this space. This time a Natural Lancaster Oak laminate was used to give a more traditional aesthetic for the space – once again the contemporary and the classic combined seamlessly.
We are proud to have once again been able to work on an exciting project. After nearly two decades in the business, our projects have ranged from colleges like Plumpton College to bars, restaurants and concert venues. JB Commercial is looking forward to many more exciting projects in the future.
